The Print Edition Archive

Filmbobbery began in 1999 as a desire to write about movies and celebrate the Academy Awards each year.  For the previous few years I had produced programs predicting the Oscars, and then recapping the results afterward.  Finally I decided that I could reasonably expand those programs to do more.  Profiles, articles and regular columns eventually became standard, and occasionally my readers helped by contributing articles of their own and prompting me to tackle subjects they would suggest.

The length of the newsletter gradually increased and soon it was more of a magazine. Writing, editing and publishing Filmbobbery on a quarterly basis became a huge job, and really prevented me from publishing a book in the latter half of the 2000s, as I found that I preferred to write in this format.  I finally ended the publication because I wanted to work more diligently on movie reference books and fiction.

Each of the forty issues — except for the first one, which has sold out — is available in its original form, as it was published.  I am making them available at $10 apiece, postpaid, which means that I’m only charging about $5 an issue, plus shipping and handling costs.  Anyone wishing to order any of these issues should contact me at boblentz26@me.com and make arrangements to do so.

Special pricing is available for each volume (four issues per year) and bulk purchases. Just let me know what you need.  By the way, I can provide photocopies of that rare first issue, too, at the same price as all the other issues.

Thank you for your interest.
