Volume 8 Issue 1 (Summer, 2006) $10

This twenty-ninth issue is printed on ivory paper and is 32 pages in length.  It laments the lack of a personal touch when looking for movie recommendations, offers thirty-five recent release reviews, five pages of DVD recommendations and another batch of darn good double feature tips.  Articles include a weird one about celebrity scents (which have become even more populous and popular), a spotlight on Forbidden Planet and two, count ’em, two diametrically opposed guest viewpoints on the validity of Brian De Palma’s directorial career (by Richard Thompson and Mark Freeburg).  My own thoughts about De Palma’s work are in the following issue.

While copies remain, this issue sells for $10 postpaid, which includes shipping to destinations in the United States and Canada.
